Purity Skincare Review

Facial Wash, Facial Exfoliator, Anti-aging Serum Mask & Anti-aging Moisturiser *

I was ever so kindly sent some Purity products to review a while back. I like to give skincare a good month or two for trialling before giving my thoughts on here, it is no way possible to give a good review of say a cleanser or moisturiser within a week! You could give first impressions but not an overall review (in my eyes anyway!) It takes time for your skin to adapt to new products, some people break out at first then the product works a dream or it just works well straight away, you will never know until you've given them a good test! (In the image the exfoliator and wash have been used its just because they are laid flat that the product looks full!)

Purity Facial Wash - £4.99
I really liked this product, but I didn't love it. I think this is purely because of my beloved Liz Earle which I'm always comparing facial washes/cleansers too. It just doesn't do as good a job as that does! I think it's fab though as a back up as It does work really well for a facial wash. I like the fact that it has a pump so you can squirt a good amount out to use. It also gets every little bit or dirt off, although be careful near the eyes!! That's my only downfall i think, with Liz Earle I can rub it in my eye (not literally- just in the area to take eye make up off!) and have zero pain/stingyness (is that a word?!) whereas with this, it hurts and burns my eyes! With regards to doing what it says on the tin- it does, but I have tried better -and worse for that matter.

Purity Facial Exfoliator - £5.99
I love exfoliators, I suffer with quite a few blackheads (luckily make up hides the majority) but I always love a good scrub 2-3 times a week with this to lift any dirt/blackheads. It hasn't completely removed them all but I will say that it has helped calm them down a lot. My nose is my problem area and near my lips too (blame the lippy) but this works a treat. I also find clay masks help with blackheads if you suffer with them. I will be repurchasing this as it does work really well, it has lots of those little black beads, I hate it when you buy an exfoliator and there are hardly any!

Purity Anti-aging Serum & Mask - £8.99
I used this once a week (usually on a Sunday evening) as you aren't advised to do more than 1/2 masks a week. I applied a nice thick layer and left on for 10 minutes and then rinsed it off with warm water. I thought it did a lovely job and gave my skin that little boost once a week. As with all masks it leaves your skin feeling really nice and soft. It has a good mix of omega 3,6 and 9, rose water to tone and vitamin E as an antioxidant. It isn't a necessary purchase in my eyes as I'm not typically a big face mask fan (I do them occasionally when I want to have a pamper evening in) but it is a really good mask if you just want to give your face a little boost.

Purity Anti-aging Moisturiser - £7.99
I love this moisturiser! I apply it liberally each morning and massage it into my face & neck. It has helped to combat any dry areas as well as keeping my skin protected and looking nice and healthy. It also helps me apply my make up with ease, although I do like to wait a good 5-10 minutes before applying my make up as I want it to really sink into my skin. I used to have really horrible dry patches near my nose and my make up used to look horrible in those areas, this has helped to stop that completely (hallelujah!) The moisturiser also contains omega 3,6 and 9 as well as vitamin E and rosehip seed oil. They help to restore and condition the skin as well as the vitamin E which again is an antioxidant. I will definitely be re purchasing this once I have used it up.

What I love about these products is not only are they super cheap but they are organic too, so all the products are made from natural ingredients. They are also fragrance free so if you have sensitive skin then these will work a treat for you. You can view and purchase the range of products mentioned here on the Purity website. Have you ever tried anything from Purity? What are your thoughts?

  6. I used to buy this exfoliater all the time from Superdrug but then they got rid of these products! Didn't know they still existed. I didn't really like the facial wash myself. Great blog :) xx
