Groupon Purchases

I'm guessing most of you will have all heard of Groupon, but If not this post might just introduce you to your new best friend! Groupon is a daily deal website that handpicks fabulous deals and advertises them on their website for a limited amount of time. There are a variety of deals including day trips, getaways or even special offers on goods. You simply click on the Groupon you'd like to purchase and proceed to payment. The process is very simple and quick. Dependent on the Groupon, you will either be sent a code straight away or after the deal ends. You will then be sent the code via email and you apply this to the promotion box on payment of the individual companys website.

I was kindly gifted with two £20 vouchers to use on Groupon and managed to get two fabulous deals. The first deal was a clothing related one of course! Oh My Love had an offer on which meant if you paid the £20 via Groupon you would receive a £50 voucher for their website in return (yes that's £30 free). For this particular offer I had to wait until the deal had ended, I had to wait 3-4 days before I was sent the voucher to use but as soon as the clock struck midnight on the last day a lovely emailed popped into my inbox with my Groupon code. All I then needed to do was fill up my basket, head to the checkout and apply the voucher code in the box - et voila! £50 worth of clothing for £20. I managed to get myself 4 lovely new tops which I will style in future blog posts/OOTD's - I attached a sneak preview above.

I also spotted a deal with Flowers Direct. My mum was off work with the flu and I thought it would be nice for her to receive some flowers in the post. You could choose from a choice of 4 beautiful bouquets which retail at £40 but instead get them at £20, so as I used my £20 voucher I got them completely free. With this Groupon I was sent a code immediately after purchasing, I think this was because they were advertised as a Mother's Day gift. I've attached a snap of these above too, which was also on Instagram. How lovely are they? They were hand delivered to the door and brought her to tears (I'm the best daughter right?)

After my experience I would definitely recommend using Groupon. They have a really good selection of deals which change almost daily and they have something for everyone. It's such a great idea and the website is so simple and easy to navigate. If you're buying goods you do have to pay the postage seperate to the deal, for example I had to put £4 towards the Oh My Love order for delivery -but even so that's still a complete bargain to me for what I received in return! You can view the website here. Have you ever used Groupon? What did you think of your experience?

  1. I'm intrigued by the feather top - it looks beautiful! Those Groupons you chose were definitely bargains :) I have used Groupon a number of times, for photobooks and other such things. I think it's a great way to grab a bargain, but there have been times where people I know have bought a Groupon but then been a bit ripped off (the company the Groupon was purchased for either didn't honour the order for 6 months, or changed the rules). xx
