Girls Night In

Now that Christmas is over and we are ending the first month of 2014, it's time to settle into the New Year and get focused for 2014's goals and celebrate 2013 accomplishments. December was a busy month full of parties, boozing and good old family catch ups. So what better way to wind down into the New Year with a Girl's Night in? I absolutely love having girly nights in - a perfect excuse to start that 2014 'diet' with mugs of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and marshmallows whilst having a nibble on those left over Christmas chocolates!

A girls’ night in makes for an ideal evening relaxing with friends and/or family. It's great to catch up on Christmas gossip and share plans for the year ahead. So with the new year ahead, I’ve been looking for some ideas for hosting a girly party with friends and came across this interesting post on hosting the perfect Girls’ Night In from Homewetbar.  Theme nights are always fun- tea parties, cocktails or a good old fashioned slumber style party with girly films, candles and pampering. My favourite pamper products have got to be Soap & Glory, which you can find in both Superdrug and Boots (along with most other beauty shops). I especially love their body butter 'The Righteous Butter' and their hand and foot creams - perfect to use after giving yourselves manicures and pedicures!

I also found this list of Must see chick flicks from Lovefilm. I've picked out a couple of favourites above - nothing is better than a film featuring Gerard Butler right?! And what better way to have a girly film night than a Rom com. Or, if you prefer to watch a TV series with a bit more action and gore then I've picked out my current favourite - Game of Thrones. Nothing beats snuggling up with your bestie watching something and having a giggle and gossip munching on treats.

How do you like to spend a Girls Night In?

  1. I'm loving Game of Thrones and can't wait for the new series to come out! Sounds like the perfect night in, with lots of yummy food and pyjamas too!

  2. That looks like my Ideal night in! although I have never seen Game of thrones! Am I missing out?
