Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple Eau de parfum

I'd never really considered Yves Rocher when it comes to fragrance, but I was pleasantly surprised when this little beauty landed on my door step. Following three previous editions, So Elixir Purple was released at the end of 2012 and is a luxurious and incredibly seductive Eau de parfum. It's a beautiful, feminine, floral-woody scent with a unique combination of an infusion of tuberose, plus essential oils of vetiver and patchouli. The scent is quite strong but not overpowering and you definitely need no more than one or two spritz to carry a lovely aroma around with you. I would suggest this is more of an evening scent as it is quite 'heavy' and very long lasting - perfect for date night!

The perfume is presented in a beautiful purple bottle, quite simple but elegant at the same time. As purple is one of my favourite colours i absolutely love the idea of the tinted bottle. I think the floral design is captivating too, although it may be slightly misleading as I wouldn't suggest this is mainly floral scented - only a subtle floral tone (compared to scents like Marc Jacobs Daisy) I believe it definitely has more of a woody scent.

Overall I am pleasantly surprised with this perfume and wouldn't hesitate to try more Yves Rocher fragrances. So Elixir Purple is a perfect evening scent and a great value for money which I would recommend to anyone.

Have you ever tried any fragrances from Yves Rocher?

P.s I've added some premade templates to my blog design shop which you can see here and here
